I am a junior at Illinois State University, and I'm majoring in Communications Studies and minoring in Sociology. I hope to go into either the social media industry or Human Resources. I have a yellow lab and two cats back at home. So I am both a dog lover and a cat lover because I simply can't choose between them. I'm an avid watcher of Romantic Comedies such as The Notebook, and The Wedding Planner. The shows that I am currently obsessed with are Grey's Anatomy and This is Us.
I have a slight problem with how much I love Disney. I hope to someday live in either California or Florida just to be close to Disney World or Disneyland. I love Broadway musicals like Wicked, Mamma Mia, and Jersey Boys. I really enjoy traveling to new places. My favorite trip I've been on so far was when my family and I went to Rome, Italy. In my free time I like to watch Netflix with my friends.
My favorite thing about ISU is how everyone I meet here (whether it be new friends, professors, or faculty), is so incredibly welcoming and accepting. I chose to write about self-care for college students at Illinois State because I wish I had some of this information coming into my first college experience. I hope I can improve another person's overall experience as well throughout this blog.
